I will never not think of crispy chicken wraps when I hear about the MARY J BLIGE, who made a bold arrival at BBC Radio 1 Studios in London yesterday, rocking a yellow top underneath a bright red blazer.
Whilst on air, the she-popper and her Brady Bunch style feathered hair announced that she’ll play the role of Dr. Betty Shabazz, widow of Malcolm X, in the upcoming made-for-television movie, Parallel Lives.
I’m playing Betty and prepping for that now. I’ve been studying her online and watching her interviews.
The film will examine the similarities between the lives of Coretta Scott King and Shabazz and the relationship they shared as the wives of two slain civil rights icons.
