It was only during the end of the SLEATER-KINNEY’s career that I got hooked on the grunge-she-trio. Their ‘Woods’ LP was one of me faves of 2005; ‘Entertain’, ‘Jumpers’, ‘What’s Mine Is Yours’ and of course ‘Modern Girl’ still get high iPod rotation seven years post their birth.

The EMMY THE GREAT has also been a fan of the SK, having covered the girls for the last few years. Now the she-singer has roped in the TIM WHEELER to help her perform a fairy tale like rendition of that ‘Modern Girl’ mp3. In someone’s kitchen, not mine though.
