For Record Store Day the GARBAGE have teamed up with the SCREAMING FEMALES to cover the PATTI SMITH’s BECAUSE THE NIGHT.

Comes with video footage that’s fucking awesome, reminding me that their previous LP was rather incomparable to their debut.

During the GARBAGE concert in Detroit last week, the SHIRLEY MANSON took two he-lovers on stage, for one to propose to the other.

So jolz.

So need some new beats from this band.

I live for this band. This is such beautiful news.

The GARBAGE have announced plans to release a new album in 2014.

Butch Vig has said they’re not going to leave it as long to get out their next LP as they did between 2005′s ‘Bleed Like Me’ and last year’s ‘Not Your Kind Of People’.

I think we want to get going quicker. We’d like to see a record come out next year. We have a couple offers to play, but we may try to go into the studio in June and start working on another album.

We’re all excited about that. We don’t really have any songs started yet, but we all have ideas for songs. I have little riffs and things floating around in my head… If we could get started some time in the summer and finish close to the end of the year, we could have it out in the spring or summer of next year, which would be cool.

The GARBAGE return to David Letterman, where they made their network debut in 1996, to perform BATTLE IN ME, aka my fave mp3 off their 012 LP.

Would happily accept another London live date from this fabulous quartet. Just putting it out into the universe kthnx.

Despite being obsessed with the show I’ve only just spotted the GARBAGE cameo in a season 10 episode of Friends.

My all time fave band ever, the GARBAGE, performed I HATE LOVE on the Jay Leno show last PM.

I did not know the GARBAGE were dropping via the Jimmy Kimmel HQs last night to perform CONTROL, which ain’t a cover of the JJ’s.

And then they did BLOOD FOR POPPIES.

A coupla weeks ago I had the pleasure in chatting with the BUTCH VIG, of the GARBAGE, about his favourite thirteen albums.

The interview was for The Quietus, which they’ve just published so head over there to read the imperial grunge producer’s favourite LPs.
