Following a stage collapse in Canada, which killed drum technician Scott Johnson, the RADIOHEAD have announced that they’re postponing seven shows.

As you will probably have heard the roof over the stage collapsed at our show in Toronto killing crew member Scott Johnson and injuring three other crew members. The collapse also destroyed the light show – this show was unique and will take many weeks to replace. The collapse also caused serious damage to our backline, some elements of which are decades old and therefore hard to replace.

Whilst we all are dealing with the grief and shock ensuing from this terrible accident there are also many practical considerations to deal with & consequently we have to try and reschedule the following shows:

We will start playing live again at Les Arenes Nimes, Bilbao BBK festival and Lisbon Optimus Alive festival.

We will make every effort to offer the fans the very best show possible under the circumstances – thanks for your understanding and support.

And condolences to Scott’s family and friends.

A stage at Toronto’s Downsview Park has collapsed in advance of the RADIOHEAD‘s scheduled concert, killing one person and injuring at least three.

How absolutely horrifying.

Downsview Park has tweeted that the concert is cancelled.

German magazine, MUSIKEXPRESS, have compiled a 12-band mp3 tribute to the RADIOHEAD‘s OK COMPUTER LP, as 12 toons feature on that long_one.

Last night, whilst I was in bed not alone, the RADIOHEAD were doing the people of Chicago.

A month late on this one, but me Weds AM desk playing is soundtrack to the RADIOHEAD‘s best album, KID A, via an 8-bit.

Gotta give the THOM YORKE credit for admitting that the RADIOHEAD‘s latest album, THE KING OF LIMBS, alienated people.

It was amazing just to put the record out like that. But then it didn’t feel like it really existed…But that was the consequence of what we chose to do. You can either get upset about it, or say, “well, that’s not good enough.”

I can see why it’s alienated people. I didn’t realise it was on its own planet.

The reason it was shit because the mp3s were pretty good, but forgettable. At some point, I pretended like I liked it, but in actuality, I don’t.

First thang to do today is dedicate the next two hours of your Monday morning watching the RADIOHEAD‘s performance from Coachella town.

It starts with BLOOM, IDIOTEQUE is in there, 20 songs laters they finish with PARANOID ANDROID, and I’m weeping as to how perfect they be.

Rolling Stone magazine remain edgy, put the RADIOHEAD on the cover of their next issue, on stands and in your hands come April 26th.
