designed to bring about a little boost in the flagging CD market, and keep the physical album alive, Universal Music in the US have revealed plans to reinvigorate the CD market by testing a new pricing structure which will cut the price of a physical long_one to below ten dollars.

single CD long_ones will be provided with a recommended retail price of between $6 and $10, with an expected retailer mark up of 25%, so that said CDs will be sold wholesale at between $4 and $7.50.
